ASIGN is about communication of visual content under critical conditions and not about pictures. It is made for rapid and robust field input of visual data, from an App to an ASIGN server in some location. ASIGN will help provide information about WHAT happens, WHEN it happens and WHERE, as part of operations which are based on OBSERVE - DECIDE - ACT.

ASIGN is specifically made for professionals in need of particularly bandwidth-efficient communication,e.g. via satellite network or limited radio networks. The ASIGN APP is a companion to the ASIGN Server and PC applications. It can not be used stand-alone.

ASIGN visual information is relevant for situational awareness and decision-making during critical operations such as crisis, emergency disaster management and in security and surveillance, remote inspection, quality management and interactions between decision makers and observers.

ASIGN mission-critical photo and video communications is fundamentally different from traditional approaches:

- It is a system of geo-referenced visual communications that allows users to focus network resources on content that is relevant for operations.

The communication becomes fast - easily 100 times faster than sending photos in full resolution, but via interactive communications from the receiver side, any region of interest in a photo can be pulled in up to full quality as needed for operations.

By sending a small preview first, image analysts can request more details for relevant observations later, if and when needed.
In this way ASIGN saves substantial network capacity, reducing cost and delay.

The app contains a range of features, such as geo-tagging, timers for UAV mode or unattended operation, options for assessment templates and more.
